About CouponScout
CouponScout is an independent price tracker for consumer brand promotions. It watches the official sale pages and public product feeds of 10 brands and republishes what those brands themselves published - the price, the reference price where one exists, and the exact page the number was read from. It does not write prices by hand and it does not estimate them.

This is a small, independently operated project. It is not a company storefront and it does not sell anything. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any brand it lists.
Why the site exists
Brand sale pages are spread across ten or more separate shops, each with its own layout, its own idea of what "on sale" means and its own way of hiding the real price. Comparing them by hand means opening a dozen tabs and still not knowing whether the number you are looking at is a genuine discount or just the normal price wearing a badge. This site does that comparison mechanically, on a schedule, and shows its work: every listing names the page it was read from and the moment it was read.
How the data is produced
A scheduled job reads each brand's own public pages - the product feed where the brand publishes one, and the schema.org offer data on its own product pages otherwise. It rebuilds the whole site every 6 hours. There is no editorial step: nothing on a listing page is written or adjusted by hand. Two kinds of listing exist, and they are labelled differently on purpose:
- Verified discountThe brand published a reference price, so the percentage is arithmetic on two published numbers.
- On brand sale pageThe item sits on a page the brand itself calls a sale; we show the real price and claim no percentage, because there was no reference price to compute one from.
When a brand publishes no machine-readable offer data at all, it gets a page that links to its official promo page and nothing else. That is a deliberate choice: a page that says less is better than a page that invents more.
How the site is funded
Advertising is the intended way this site pays for itself: ads cover the cost of the hosting and the recurring data refresh, and they keep the listings free to read. No advertising code is on the site yet. When it is added, it will come from the networks named in the privacy policy, and it will never influence what is listed: listings are produced by the scraper from brand data, and no brand pays to appear or to rank higher.
What this site does not do
- We do not sellThere is no checkout. Every purchase happens on the brand's own page.
- We do not guarantee pricesA price is only accurate as of the timestamp on the listing. Always confirm on the brand's page.
- We do not bid on brand namesNo brand-name keyword bidding, no cookie injection, no self-purchasing through our own links.
